Jewell Gears Up for Grand Jubilee Celebration!

The countdown to Jewell Jubilee is officially on, with the community poised for a weekend packed with family-friendly fun, delicious food, and lively entertainment from Friday, June 13th to Sunday, June 15th. Most events will converge on City Park, transforming it into a hub of activity.

56th Annual Jewell Jubilee

The festivities kick off on Friday, June 13th, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a mouth-watering community barbecue courtesy of WG Provisions. Volunteers will be serving Brisket, baked beans, coleslaw, and beverages. Live music by Vintage Cafe will provide the perfect backdrop for the evening. Sweet desserts will be available from the South Hamilton FCCLA Bake Sale. For the younger crowd, a Barrel Train Ride will run from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A unique highlight of the evening will be the Local Law Enforcement Nickel Scramble at 7:30 PM, followed by the South Hamilton FFA Tractor Pedal Pull at 8:00 PM. As night falls, prepare for a dazzling Glow Foam Party at 9:15 PM, culminating in a spectacular Fireworks display at 10:15 PM.

Saturday, June 14th, promises a full day of excitement. Start your morning downtown with the Farmers Market on King Street from 9:00 AM to Noon, and explore the Jewell Gemstone (Vendors) Market on Main Street from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The highly anticipated Jewell Jubilee Parade will kick off at 10:00 AM, following the same route as last year down Division Street. Immediately after the parade, a free-will donation lunch organized by SHAPE will be available. They will be serving grilled pork loin sandwiches and chips, accompanied by home-baked pies for dessert. 

City Park will then burst to life with a Petting Zoo, Bounce Houses, and a Balloon Lady, all running from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The Elementary Booster Club will organize a lively Carnival in the Park during this time. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy a Wiffle Ball Tournament organized by The City of Jewell from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and a Pickleball Tournament organized by SHAPE from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. For those looking to cool off, there's FREE Swim Day at the Jewell Pool from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. SHAPE will also host Bingo from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The South Hamilton Dance Team will be selling Snow Cones from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. 

As the afternoon progresses, a Beer Garden will open from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM. A Bags Tournament is set for 5:00 PM, coinciding with a Food Truck Round-up from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, offering a diverse array of culinary delights. The community will gather and cap off the evening with live music by Frank Martin Busch & The Names from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

The celebration concludes on Sunday, June 15th, with a special look back at the town's history. The Jewell Museum will host a showing of old Jewell videos at 2:00 PM, offering a nostalgic glimpse into the community's past.
